Fight the Good Fight
Today's Scripture
“That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our inner strength in the Lord is growing every day.” (2 Corinthians 4:16)
Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
Paul explained to the church at Corinth that giving up is not an option for a true Christian. As a follower of God, you are to fight the good fight in God’s strength and never surrender or give up. Being faithful means holding tight through tough and seemingly impossible times. Keep pushing whether you feel like it or not; keep going even when you run out of strength. Do the right thing, even when the wrong thing happens to you. In order to win the battle, you have to step out and take part in the struggle. Only after fighting the good fight can you experience the good victory that God has in store for you!
A Prayer for Today
God, thank You for giving me the strength to fight the good fight. Help me to keep my eyes on You for the endurance to keep moving forward. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

One day I decided to quit...I quit my job, my relationship, my
spirituality. I wanted to quit my life. I went to the woods to
have one last talk with God.
His answer surprised me..."Look around", He said. "Do you see the
fern and the bamboo?"
"Yes", I replied.
"When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good
care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water. The fern
quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant green covered the
floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit
on the bamboo. In the second year the fern grew more vibrant and
plentiful. And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I
did not quit on the bamboo." He said.
"In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But
I would not quit. In year four, again, there was nothing from the
bamboo seed. I would not quit." He
said
"Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth.
Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant.
.but just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall.
It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it
strong and gave it what it needed to survive. I would not give
any of my creations a challenge it could not handle." He said to
me.
"Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been
struggling, you have actually been growing roots?"
"I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on you."
"Don't compare yourself to others." He said. "The bamboo had a
different purpose than the fern. Yet they both make the forest
beautiful."
"Your time will come", God said to me. "You will rise high"
"How high should I rise?" I asked.
"How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return.
"As high as it can?" I questioned
"Yes." He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can."
I left the forest and bring back this story. I hope these words
can help you see that God will never give up on you. He will
never give up on you.
Never regret a day in your life. Good days give you happiness;
bad days give you experiences; both are essential to life.

You are Equipped
Today's Scripture
“Every scripture is God-breathed…so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well-fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17 AMP).
Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
God has equipped you with everything you need to fulfill your destiny through His Word! The Scripture tells us that as believers in Jesus Christ, we are anointed. The word “anointing” is the power of God which gives you courage, strength, and ability. That means you are well able to do what He has called you to do. You can accomplish your goals. You have the ideas, the creativity, and talent to be successful. You can overcome any obstacle! You’ve been armed with strength for every battle! The forces that are with you are greater than the forces that are against you! Not only has God equipped you, but He is also working on your behalf. He has already lined up the right people to come across your path. He’s already lined up the right breaks. You have everything you need to live a victorious life. You were created to excel! You have seeds of greatness on the inside of you. You may not have seen it in the past, but if you’ll stay in faith, it’s just a matter of time. It’s on its way. Don’t settle where you are. Don’t have a weak, defeated mentality. Have the attitude, “I am anointed. I can accomplish my dreams. I can overcome any obstacle. I am equipped and empowered by the Creator of the universe! I am able to live the abundant life God has in store!”
A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, thank You for equipping me. Thank You for empowering me. Help me stay focused on Your Word and Your plan for me today. Help me understand Your anointing so that I can do all you’ve called me to do. I bless You today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Press Through
Today's Scripture
“Keep on asking and it will be given to you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you” (Matthew 7:7 AMP).
Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
In Mark, chapter five, there was a woman who had been sick for twelve years. The doctors gave her no hope. But she heard that Jesus was coming through her town. Something deep on the inside said to her, “This is your season. This is your time to get well.” In the natural, when she saw all the people around Him, she thought, “I’ll never get to Him. It’s so crowded and I’m weak. I just don’t think I can do this.” She almost missed her season. But instead of dwelling on those negative thoughts, she started reminding herself, “If I can just get to Jesus, I will be whole.” She made the choice to turn her thoughts in the right direction. She kept pressing her way through the crowd until she got just close enough to Jesus to reach out and touch the edge of His robe. Instantly, she was made whole. Jesus said to her, in Mark 5:34, “Daughter, your faith has made you well.” Notice it’s our faith that activates God’s power. What have you been believing God for? Don’t give up! Press through! Keep praying! Keep asking! Keep seeking! God is faithful! As you press through, He’ll meet your faith with His miraculous power, and you’ll step forward in the victory He has planned for you!
A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, I come to You today with an open and humble heart. I ask You to fill me with Your strength, peace, and joy so that I can press through to victory today. Show me the good plan You have for me and fill me with Your spirit of faith. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

In Touch Daily Devotional
What do you think goes through the minds of runners
during a marathon? It's not unusual for them to think about crossing
the finish line. If they let themselves dwell on how long, painful, or
difficult the race will be, they could easily fail. With regard to our aspirations, we would be wise to
follow a similar thought pattern. If we permit ourselves to think about
obstacles in our path, we are less likely to succeed. God's vision is for us to share His message of hope all
over the world (Luke 24:47-49). Like a marathon, it's a huge task, and
many Christians feel "all the nations" is too big an assignment. Other
believers stop because of a language barrier or safety concern. And
some just don't know how to start, so they let insecurity deter them.
But Jesus' mandate must translate into our obedience, which means we
must overcome any hindrances. First, it's important to identify limitations that exist
in our minds. Second, we should be motivated by God's transformation of
our own lives. Third, we rely on Jesus' promise of His presence and the
Holy Spirit's empowerment. Remember that the Lord said what would be
impossible with man is possible with God (Luke 18:27). Once we break
down our objections and obey in the power and guidance of the Holy
Spirit, we'll be amazed at what God will do through us. What mental limitations have you put on sharing the good
news of the gospel with the world? Ask for forgiveness, refocus on the
goal, and tell the Lord that you are available to share and to serve.
