Today is the first day of the rest of my life!  What will it entail.  What is my purpose?  Where will God lead me?  I no longer want to do things MY way.  When I did them my way, I made a huge mess.  I am waiting on God to show me where he wants and needs me the most. I feel certain that this website is part of his plan because I am so inspired to write when I am on it.  I feel as though he is just using my fingers to say what he desires. I recently read something that is appropriate here.

There are two ways to learn...Mentors and Mistakes!

I have certainly made plenty of mistakes so I am praying to be surrounded by Mentors.  I desire to find mentors who have walked the road ahead of me.  They see me and love me for who I am just like God does.  They lovingly outstretch their hand and say, follow me, I can help lead you down the right path.  Funny, as I just typed that, that is exactly why this website is here.  I have no doubt there will be many who read my words, who can feel that hand reached out to them.  We all need someone who we can feel safe with, who loves us just the way we are! We need to be surrounded by Christians who are the image of Christ. They show us unconditional love, encourage us when we are down and never leave us or forsake us. Their desire is to help us reach our Full Potential!  My sweet dear friend, that is what I desire to be for you.

In his love,
Debra
--------------------------------------------

I am going to intentionally focus on my true calling and purpose.  I have a short amount of time to leave a legacy of goodness and kindness.  I am here to help enlighten, encourage and motivate others to reach their full potential.  No matter where you are or what you have been through today is the first day of the rest of your life.  We are spiritual beings in human bodies and we are here for a short amount of time.  We are a part of something much larger than ourselves, we are one and we are connected.  Seek the Face of God and imitate him.  Show his kindness, show his love, show his mercy and radiate with Goodness his Godliness.

God is love; we are love, so therefore we are to be love to the world.  We are instruments of his Peace.  Let’s strike up the band and make some beautiful music.  I will not leave this place until I sing the song God has put into my heart to sing.

All of you hurting and battered souls, God is calling you home.  He is ready to take that hurt away and replace it with his joy.  This world is not your home, heaven is.  We are here for so little time, let’s make the time we have count.  Let’s leave this place better than when we arrived.  Show kindness where there is cruelty. Show love where there is hate.  Show forgiveness where there is bitterness.  Show compassion where there is sadness.  Let us all be instruments of his Peace.

Praise God for his goodness, let us radiate his love. Let us who are called to a higher place rise above what defines this world and set an example that can be looked up to.  We have the power of The Spirit within us to guide us.  May the path be made clear that we should take.  Lord use me how you wish.  I am yours and here to serve you and serve others.

My joy comes from knowing you Lord, loving you Lord and being like you Lord.  I am nothing without you, I am everything with you.  Take me by the hand and lead me where you need me most.  Where do you need me Lord?  Show me the way and I will follow.  I will do as you ask, when you ask. Use me for your great purpose.  Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice.  Thank you for doing what no one else would ever do.  Your love for me is unconditional and that is what I have for you.  I praise your holy name and am grateful for the journey I am on.  I look forward to serving you and serving others for the honor and glory of God, My Wonderful Father in Heaven.

Amen,

Debra

Multiple Choice - On Board
by Ed Young

He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm. (Proverbs 13:20).

Talk to the president or C.E.O. of any company and they will tell you how vital it is to have a dependable and trusted board of directors. They understand that they don't have all the answers - it's not a one man show. Great decision makers, great leaders, know that they don't know everything and they go to the people who do know. They surround themselves with wise counsel.

The same is true in our personal lives. We need to have a personal board of directors - people we can trust to help us make the right decisions. Too many of us, though, have the uncanny ability to ask the wrong people the wrong questions; and as a result we do the wrong thing.

Instead of falling into that trap, surround yourself with people who will help you navigate the maze of life. Find those around you who you can trust, people who will look out for your best interest even if it doesn't personally benefit them. Find those people who will energize you and motivate you to make the right decisions. Trust that they have an insight into the situation that you may not see.

This week, begin to use your personal board of directors to help you make your decisions. Understand that there are people who will guide you towards the right answers to the multiple choice test of life. Don't try to take everything on by yourself. Instead, use the people that God has placed around you and trust in their wise counsel.

There are times when you read things or someone says something at the exact right moment and you just know deep within your spirit that it is God at work!  I swear to you that I finished typing the words above, then went to my email and got the confirmation that I needed....it is just too good not to share!

Trust the Father

Today's Scripture

“My times are in Your hands...” (Psalm 31:15).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

Throughout the Psalms, David acknowledges that he chose to put his life in the hands of the Lord. In this verse, He was, in essence, saying, “I trust You, God, because I know You are good—my times are in Your hands.” Are you willing to release every area of your life to the Father? Are you willing to trust Him with the times and seasons of your life? You may be in a situation right now that you don’t fully understand, but take heart—God is a good God, and you can trust Him. He is working behind the scenes on your behalf. If you’ll keep your heart surrendered to Him, you’ll begin to see things change in your favor. As you continue to trust Him, He’ll open doors for you. He’ll take what the enemy meant for evil in your life, and He’ll turn it around for your good. Keep standing, keep believing, and trust Him. Your times are in His hands!

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, today I choose to trust You. I trust that You are working behind the scenes on my behalf. I trust You with my whole life—my times are in Your hands. Help me to stay close to You today so that I can hear Your voice. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
